ABOUT THE CHÂTEAU

It was as a demanding lover of great wines that Albert Boge, then head of a trading company, embarked one day on production. The charm of Saint Emilion has operated and in 1998, he acquires Château Milens in Saint-Emilion and with the advice of his winemaker friends, he implements all the technical and human means to realize the wine of his dreams.

From 2006 Albert Bogé added 2 partners and friends Valérie and Ludovic Martin who brought their enthusiasm and competence to the service of the property.

In 2008 the arrival of a young passionate manager Grégory Balestre made it possible to go even further in the work of both the vine and that of the cellar.
To refine the quality every detail counts and the care taken at each stage from the size to the harvest makes the difference in the final result and Grégory was able to bring his demanding attention to all the work done.

Finally in 2013 no longer being able to invest in the Saint Emilion appellation due to the price of the vine that has become inaccessible, we had the opportunity to buy a dozen hectares in Bordeaux Castillon on a superb terroir of limestone clay hillsides at the very limit of the Saint Emilion appellation.

This new property has been baptized Château La Comédie because located in the town of Saint Genès patron of actors, and produces 2 wines: Château La Comédie and Fleur de Scène Our first harvest was made in 2014 and the wine produced was a great satisfaction for the whole team with the reward of the best rating of the appellation of the famous critic Yves Becq.
