Château Lynsolence 2015

ABOUT THE WINE

Appellation | Saint Émilion Grand Cru

 Grape100% merlot

Tasting Notes | The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Lynsolence has cedar and mocha on the nose over a core of baked blackberries and fruitcake plus a waft of herbs. The medium to full-bodied palate is generously fruited, very firm and chewy with racy acid and some woodiness on the finish. For me. It's the wine most rapprochable in this case. Drinking so nicely with it's jammy flavors.

Pairing | Roasted lamb,

Ideal drinking | 2019 - 2035.

The Chateau

Victor Fourcaud Beylot, influential member of the Libourne wine trade and eldest son of Jean Laussac Fourcaud who was at Château Cheval Blanc at the time, founded the property of Château Couperie in 1862. Victor Fourcaud Beylot took particular care of his vineyard and, in 1881, Couperie was classified by Edouard Féret in `Bordeaux and its Wines` among the most appreciated wines. The property then belonged to Mr. Haudegand, then to Mrs. Renaud who sold it to Marcel Dassault in 1955. The latter gave it his name and, using the skills of the best specialists in the region, allowed his vintage to be classified as 1969. In 1994, his grandson Laurent took over the management of the estate. Helped by Laurence Brun, he experiences the same passion and the same pleasure in producing constantly improving wines each year.
