 ABOUT THE WINE

Appellation | Saint Émilion Grand Cru

Grape |  78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon

Ageing | 70% of the wine is in new oak barrels for 14-15 months 

Tasting Notes | Initially closed, the bouquet of this 2018 releases pleasant aromas of licorice, toast and red fruits on aeration. Warm, full-bodied, built around ripe and round tannins, underpinned from the attack to the finish by a fine acidity, the palate is well built.

Pairing | Grilled beef rib, cut of venison with porcini mushrooms, Duck foie gras casserole, Leg of mutton with artichokes, tagliatelle with mushrooms and foie gras, Tournedos with truffle butter.

Drinking | Drinking 2025 till 2035. If drink now decanter for 2 hours.

ABOUT THE CHÂTEAU

The vineyards of Chateau Queyron Pindefleurs are located at the foot of the southern hillsides of the medieval city of Saint-Emilion. Since 1937 the Fillon family has cultivated this exceptional terroir with passion and pride to produce wines that are rich, elegant and harmonious.  In 2010 Peter and Chantelle moved from Australia to take over the family business.
