ABOUT THE WINE
Appellation | Pomerol
Grape | 100% Merlot
Ageing | After the malolactic fermentations, the wine is aged in barrels on the lees for around 14 months.
Tasting Notes | The nose reveals a rich and complex bouquet with notes of violets, ripe red fruits, leather and hints of truffle.
On the palate, the wine is ample and structured around smooth tannins. The finish is expressive and harmonious.
Pairing | It goes very well with grilled red meats in sauce, game or strong cheeses.
Drinking | Now until 2040.
ABOUT THE CHÂTEAU
Owned by the Robin family (Ch. de Laussac in Castillon, Rol Valentin in Saint-Émilion grand cru) for several generations, taken over in 2008, following the grandfather, by Alexandra and Nicolas Robin.
Soils: Sandy with iron filth subsoil
Farming: Plowing, soil cultivation, stripping and thinning, reasoned cultivation in terms of treatments and amendments. Hand harvested.
Vines: On average 40 years old
