The Château

Château Bellegrave is located to the south of the town of Pauillac, between the prestigious Châteaux Latour, Pichon-Longueville and Lynch-Bages.
Formerly owned by Armand Roux, the estate was acquired in 1901 by his partner and sole successor, Mr. Van-Der-Voort, merchant in San-Francisco.
It was in 1997 that Jean-Paul Meffre - already owner of the Châteaux du Glana and Lalande in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle - acquired it. Originally from Comtat Venaissin, in Vaucluse, it was in 1954, to sell his Cabernet-Sauvignon plants there that Gabriel MEFFRE, renowned nurseryman, discovered the Médoc and bought several properties in the municipalities of Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac and Saint -Julian.
Today, it is the grandsons Ludovic and Julien who manage the property.
