fresh. Mouth gently tactile. blackberry, jelly elderberry, sweetness. Juciy on the pallet, velvety tannins,
nice length. A wine that has potential but is already opening in its youth.

Pairing | Game meat, red meats.

Drinking | This is a wine to put in the wine fridge or cellar for another year or 2 more. Although is starting to open already and express it's potenial. 2018 is one of the great vintages. Wines are drinking earlier than the famous 2015 and 20016.  With 2 hours of decanting for this wine will soften the taninns nicely. Could age for another 20 years +.

ABOUT THE CHÂTEAU

In 1961, Louis Rapin, maternal grandfather of Nathalie DEspagne and owner of Château La Tour Figeac (Grand Cru Classé of Saint Emilion), bought the cru from his neighbour, in the Pomerol appellation.

Around this small domain, he will group other plots and rename the whole “Château La Rose Figeac”.

Following a succession within the Rapin-DEspagne family (present for two centuries in Saint-Emilion), Nathalie inherited this beautiful estate which she took over in August 2013.

Since then, many works have been undertaken: the restructuring of the vineyard, the creation of an operating building housing a modern vat room and a barrel cellar, a storage cellar and a "cellar".

This harmonious ensemble is backed by the mansion in which Nathalie DEspagne and her family live.
