 ABOUT THE CHÂTEAU

Château Poujeaux was in the Middle Ages a Lordship dependent on Latour Saint-Mambert, future Château Latour. In the 19th century, the Château Poujeaux estate produced its first Bordeaux wines by taking its true independence. Throughout the 20th century, the Theil family presided over the destiny and fame of Château Poujeaux until Philippe Cuvelier and his son Matthieu, already owner of Château Clos Fourtet, took over in 2008 and breathed new life into it. new energy and ensure that this Moulis-en-Médoc cru benefits from numerous investments and a top-notch team.

The Château Poujeaux vineyard extends in one piece over the gravel hilltops of Grand-Poujeaux, to the north-east of Moulis. The grape variety is mainly made up of Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, supplemented by Cabernet-Franc and Petit-Verdot. The most meticulous care is taken in the harvest, the selection and sorting of the grapes, the vinification and the maturing of the Château Poujeaux wines.
