Château Bernateau 2016

Appellation / Saint Émilion Grand Cru

Grape | 79% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot.

Ageing | 36 months in new barrels.

Tasting Notes | A rich and complex wine, a subtle blend of 3 grape varieties.
It presents aromas of violet, blackberry and finely peppery blackcurrant.
A tender wine, with a nice freshness, round, dense and a nice
length. We get a finish on saline flavors and fruits with a hint of cocoa.

Pairing | As for most wines at Bernateau. We recommend grilled beef, or for vegetarians, a wild mushroom risotto.

Drinking | Now until 2035

Critic Notes / Awards | - 94/100 James Suckling

vineyard, located in the heart of the greatest Crus Classés and Premier Grand
Cru Classé land, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful terroirs of the Appellation.

Farming: Organic Agriculture. No herbicide, manual debudding, leaf stripping and thinning.
