Grape | 100% Merlot

Ageing | 24 months in casks, stainless steel vats and barrels.

Tasting Notes | With a deep ruby color, the nose develops a very intense fruitiness, on aromas of black fruits (morello cherries and blueberries) but also notes of slightly peppery and smoky raspberry coulis. 
Its palate is savory and juicy, with a dense structure but melted tannins.
A pure expression of Merlot, tasty and complex.

Pairing | Lamb. Grilled or roasted. 

Drinking | Best from 2024 - 2030. Fine to drink now, with an hour to two of time to air.

ABOUT THE CHÂTEAU

Since 2002, Pierrick Lavau, oenologist from the Faculty of Oenology of
Bordeaux, joined his parents to succeed them, thus becoming the
11th generation to cultivate the vineyard of this property. The castle
Tour Peyronneau benefits from the most beautiful terroirs of the Appellation.
Expression of a subtle blend of clays and flint gravels, it
reveals in the complementarity of the exceptional quality of its
lands.

Soils:  Gravel with flint, clay and sandy-clay.

Farming: Organic Agriculture. No herbicide, manual debudding, leaf stripping and thinning.

Vines: 30 years
